New Single Release in Two Weeks!

Dear friends,

I’m writing to you from my home office in Wisconsin. My road travels have taken me full circle (for now) and it feels so good to be home. I’m recovering from a mild case of Covid that I caught in the wild, magnificent town of New Orleans, but I’m already feeling much better and am certain I’ll be back to 100% within a few days. My journey was absolutely transformative. I met so many incredible artists and filled my cup with inspiration every step of the way. Now it’s time to integrate it all and see how the next chapter unfolds.

In other news, I’m excited to announce that I will be releasing a new single two weeks from today! This labor of love “What Dreams Become” is finally going to see the light after many stages of creation: a video collaboration with Oxygen Imagery and Ayla Boyle and sonic contributions by Álvaro Benavides, Ed Willet, Bruce Kaphan and David Glasser.

I wrote this song back when I was in music school struggling with the reality of pursuing one’s dream in a society that tries so hard to fit us into a box. Sometimes the act of simply surviving felt so soul-crushing that I wasn’t sure my music was enough to get me through. In that desperation I asked myself ‘is this what dreams become?’ I think the honesty of that question has endured through the years, even though now I’m grateful to find that there was so much more on the other side of that suffering. This song is an offering to anyone out there struggling in a similar way.
